SIMICOLE 2002-t
Introduction
Simicole 2002-t is a software to train and improve reading
comprehension in adult deaf people created by
Unidad ACCESO of the University of Valencia (Spain).
It was originally developed in Spanish during 1998 under ESF-Horizon project
"ACCESO 25". In 2003 a new version has been created for the MAS project with
some improved capabilities, including the possibility of setting the interface
in different languages and creating contents in any European language.

Simicole 2002-t should be used in the framework of the more general LEECOM
training program. Its application should always take place with the supervision
of a personal tutor familiarised with the training methodology and pedagogical
basis contained in LEECOM.
In its present form Simicole 2002-t is an authoring tool that permits a
knowledgeable person to introduce new contents like texts, vocabulary, sign
language videos and exercises for training reading comprehension in adult deaf
people.
A version with 30 training units in Spanish will be available soon from
Servei de Publicacions of
Universitat de València . This publication includes a book in Spanish explaining
LEECOM program and a CDROM with SIMICOLE 2002-t and the course contents in
Spanish.
